Pakistan's sectarian violence escalates - again
Pressure is mounting on Pakistan's government to crack down on escalating sectarian violence. It comes after suicide bombers struck one of the country's most important Sufi shrines in Lahore on Thursday. Experts say the situation is deteriorating by the day as militants seek revenge for Pakistan's military offensive along the border with Afghanistan. Pakistan expert Ahmed Rashid reports.
'Ban the burqa', says Paris imam
On Saturday, French lawmakers will begin debating government proposals to forbid the use of the islamic burqa. The plans have outraged the country's muslim community, but it's within this community that the latest controversy has flared up: a Paris imam has declared he's in favour of the ban. Correspondent Jan van der Made reports from Paris.
Does money make you really happy? No, say US scientists
We all know money can't buy you love - but can it make you happy? Not always, according to a worldwide study of the effects of wealth on well being. Money doesn't necessariy put a smile on your face, US scientists say. We spoke to one of them, professor Ed Diener of the University of Illinois in Chicago.
