G8 turns to climate change
On the second day of the G8 summit, representatives of major developing powers will join a discussion on global warming chaired by US president Barack Obama. But China and India have already rejected demands to halve the emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050, so expectations are not high.
Life behind The Wall
Exactly 5 years ago today, the International Court ruled that Israel's barrier around the west Bank was illegal - and should be torn down. Israel ignored the ruling in the name of security for its citizens. Our correspondent sets out to investigate the effect the wall has had on the lives of Palestinians - and if it really has made Israelis safer.

Bangladeshi war crimes
Bangladesh's bloody 1971 liberation struggle from Pakistan saw some three million people killed. Nearly forty years later, with a new government in place since the beginning of this year, trials for war crimes were a rallying call during elections. While some changes have been made to the laws to allow these trials to begin, Human Rights Watch has lobbied the government, urging it to do more to ensure fair trials.
