LIVE AT THE CONCERTGEBOUW '…Chief conductor Mariss Jansons and the RCO present a concert with three expats: The Russian composer Igor Stravinsky wrote this (piano concerto) Capriccio in southern France, the Frenchman Edgar Varèse celebrated new horizons in just after his arrival in the United States and the contemporary Russian master Sofia Gubaidulina left the Soviet Union after its collapse and has been living in Germany ever since. Her highly emotional music caused quite a stir in The Netherlands. Over the past twenty years she has been a regular guest here in concert halls, churches and chamber music venues...'
