The reservations shown or courted by both France and Germany regarding US's demand to increase the Nato's troops in Afghanistan seem highly justified. The French and German policy-strategists in the Nato's club discern the correct picture in Afghanistan that any increase_ in the troops- may not guarantee the means towards a viable success. This "pragmatist and reformist mindset" in the European Nato's command would pave the way-forward regarding positive policy indoctrination in the ranks of the liberal European thinkers. On the other hand, this decision of the French and the German governments correctly reflects the thinking that the today's Europe seems to have adopted with regard to its more important policy challenges in the premises of CSFP and the ESDP.

Does any one know why NATO etc. is still in Afghanistan?

Yes! Yes! Fighting terrism, and fighting terrism in Afghanistan so
that **we** won't have to fight them here (pick your **here**)

As usual the noble americans are still trying (successfully) to get
MORE non-american bodies into Iraq and Afghanistan to take a bullet
and die in place of an american. Super idea!
The Canadian conservative party leader is quite prepared to comply!
