Refugees persecuted
Refugees from Myanmar are living in horrific conditions in camps in neighbouring Bangladesh, according to a report out today. Physicians for Human Rights says there are hundreds of thousands of Rohingya Muslims living in makeshift tents, with no access to food or water. Listen to an interview with the author of the report Richard Sollom.
Extreme right on the rise
The far right in the United States has boomed since Barack Obama became the country's first black president. From 2008 to 2009, the number of white supremacist and extremist anti-government groups increased by more than 250 percent. Listen to an interview with Chip Berlet of the Massachussets-based group Political Research Associates.
Picking up the pieces
Scientists have discovered that the massive earthquake that struck Chile 11 days ago has moved the entire city of Concepción more than three metres to the west. Rescue operations were hampered last week by people looting shops and supermarkets, and the army had to be called in re-establish order. RNW's Eric Beauchimin reports from Concepcion.

Though there should not be any discrimination on the basis of religion, but it does happen often...which is sad! And, here I go again: Muslims and Christians get reported on RNW but not people of other religions..DISCRIMINATION! But as it is, RNW is firm in its policy of giving selective news of the world.
