This is a theme from the Concerto for string quartet and wind ensemble, composed in 1930 by Erwin Schulhoff, a Jewish-German composer born in Prague, who died at the hands of the Nazi regime in 1942. It is an attractive piece, positive in it’s energy and outlook. We’ll hear it in about ten minutes.
