We begin with a concert by The Mirror Conspiracy, an eight-man Dutch band which plays a crossover-mix of rock, dance and jazz. The ensemble includes drums, guitar, bass, piano, saxophone, flute, sample recordings and the voice of Daisy Cools. At the 2010 Music Meeting in Nijmegen, the band was joined by the well-known French jazz trumpeter and crossover musician Eric Truffaz. In their performance, The Mirror Conspiracy and Eric Truffaz created a jazzy triphop sound to forceful rhythms.
