This is Hear the World, Radio Netherlands music programme bringing you live highlights from Dutch world music venues. I’m Dheera Sujan.
Today we begin with a Belgian DJ with Turkish roots, Merdan Taplak. Together with an accordionist and four brass players, he forms the Merdan Taplak Orchestra, a party band with a range of Balkan beats, eastern rhythms and western electronic sounds, which get everybody dancing.
