Thousands are feared dead in Haiti following last night's biggest earthquake in 200 years. It occurred south of the capital Port au Prince, recking the presidential palace, UN HQ and other buildings.

Human rights campaigners in China are cautiously celebrating today after the internet giant Google threatened to pull out of the country. It claims the Chinese government is hacking into activists' email accounts.
