Clean energy deal for US and India:
The United States and India have signed a deal to promote the development of technology that will produce cleaner forms of energy. The deal comes as Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh makes a high profile visit to Washington - and ahead of the UN conference on climate change which takes place in Copenhagen in the second week of December.

Students rounded up ahead of National Student Day in Iran:
Police in Iran have arrested scores of students over the past few days, in the run up to the annual National Student Day on December the 7th, according to rights group, the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran.
