Iran changes tack on nuclear enrichment
The Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has contradicted his previous statements on nuclear enrichment, saying he sees no problem with shipping enriched uranium abroad. Iran expert Richard Dalton says we should treat the announcement with caution.
Bashir may be charged with genocide
The International Criminal Court in The Hague is considering charging Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir with genocide. It has overruled a previous ruling that there was insufficient evidence for the charges to be laid. RNW's International Justice Editor Thijs Bouwknegt explains why the ICC has had a change of heart.
Why Wilders' trial could cause him long-term problems
The trial of Dutch far-right MP Geert Wilders resumed in Amsterdam today, with judges telling him he could only call three of his 17 defence witnesses. It's not the first time a politician has found himself in court for his anti-Islam views. Our Political Editor John Tyler spoke to Filip Dewinter of the far-right Flemish Interest party, who also faced similar charges in Belgium.
