Haiti donor countries pledge billions of dollars
The international community pledged $10 billion in aid to Haiti at a donor conference in New York. It's more than double the amount requested by the Caribbean island, following the devastating earthquake in January which left 200,000 dead and over a million homeless. The aid is more than welcome, but there are fears that the money could be squandered or worse - find its way into the pockets of corrupt officials. Dutch Oxfam Novib coordinator Anne Pieter van Dijk says that's a big challenge.

Kenyans welcome ICC investigation into post-election violence
The International Criminal Court in the Hague is to investigate the 2007 post-election violence in Kenya, in which more than 1200 people were killed. The ICC will focus on the roles of politicians and their parties in the violence, after rumours suggest that these political parties actively financed and organised attacks on civilians. Nevertheless, Kenyan human rights campaigner Njeri Kabebari of the Centre for Multiparty Democracy called the ICC's announcement "a great day for Kenya and a milestone".

EU wants to get rid of the Easter egg
The beloved Easter egg is in danger because of controversial new plans by the EU. The European Commission has unwrapped extroardinary proposals to swoop down on the Easter egg market. Vanessa Mock reports from Brussels.
