Somalia's fragile western-backed government claims it has scored a decisive victory over Islamist rebels in the capital Mogadishu. Heavy fighting over the weekend left at least 21 people dead - 18 of them civilians. But the President claims a heavy blow has been dealt to militants in the long-running battle to win control of the city. Rashid Abdi from the International Crisis Group explains the situation
