Sri Lanka heads for violent elections
Sri Lanka sees a surge of political violence ahead of Tuesday's elections. Police say there have been more than 600 reports of violence, particularly against the opposition led by General Sarath Fonsecka. We speak to South Asia expert Charu Hogg.

One year ago today, US President Barack Obama (then in his third day in office) signed an order to close down the Guantanamo Bay prison camp within a year. Twelve months on, it's still open with 75% of the inmates still there. So what went wrong?
