European Jazz Stage "This hour is packed with some of the best electric bands the 2007 festival had to offer. The Esbjörn Svensson Trio hardly needs an introduction, they have played a prominent part in the jazz charts across Europe recently. The group Medeski, Martin and Wood adds the eminent guitarist John Scofield for a jazz fusion set at the highest level.
The Ploctones are the ensemble of the gifted and zany guitarist Anton Goudsmit. Their intense and funky jazz makes time fly.
Trumpet player Rob van de Wouw is a new kid on the block. The founder of the Rotterdam Jazz Orchestr he will “Reboot Your Soul” with this mix of danceable jazz, funk, nu-classic soul and hip hop beats. Daniel Frankl hosts."

I only recently discovered the program --- very refreshing. It is nice to hear something current with energy and intensity. This beats listening to more of the "old" standards. Jazz is definitely alive and kickin'. I intend to introduce your program to every serious listener I know. Your efforts are greatly appreciated across the pond. Keep up the good work.
