Global corruption instrumental in last year's credit crisis
Corporate fraud, bribery, cartels and widespread corruption were key factors in last year's credit crisis, says Transparency International, a group which monitors the worldwide impact of corruption. In a report published today, it says that ongoing corruption makes it difficult to realise sustainable economic growth in the world.

Dutch pilot arrested for his alleged role in Argentina's 'dirty war'
A Dutch/Argentinian pilot was arrested in Spain on Tuesday on charges that he flew 'death flights' for Argentina's military dictatorship in the '70s and '80s. Since a 2005 reversal of an amnesty for those involved in the 'dirty war', Argentina has been actively pursuing former members of the security forces.
Barack Obama's nuclear free world: fantasy or reality?
On Thursday US President Barack Obama chairs a special meeting at the UN Security Council which focuses on nuclear non-proliferation. Earlier this year he called for a nuclear free world but how realistic can that be?
