Network Europe Extra - 3 January 2010:
- At this time of year wine and champagne are flowing, so we look at changing tastes in alcohol consumption... in Poland.
- We meet a multi-cultural, multi-talented folk music group: the Urban Folk Quartet.
- Inspiration for New Year's resolution makers.

For me, Poland has always been a country which had a lot of hard times with abortions and alcohol and especially with drugs. A lot of people shoot heroin and nobody is able to help them because it's hard to get heroin addiction help in there. There aren't so many rehabs like in the States. Heroin addiction is often cured in here, with brilliant programs and treatments, not to say about how easy you get rid of alcohol abuse.
I think this is a normal change for most of the country during Christmas and New Year... after all who would like to have beer on the table for the Christmas dinner? No way! Christmas is all about drinking champaign and wine... and other expensive and fine alcohols... until you get drunk or end up in a Alcohol Treatment Facility.
