The 'last of the great Kennedys' is dead
Senator Edward 'Ted' Kennedy has died at the age of 77 after a long battle with cancer. Like his brothers John and Robert, he has played a major role in America's national and international politics in the past decades. What is his legacy? Newsline speaks to Roberta Enschede, former chairwoman of Democrats Abroad in The Netherlands.
A bomb blast in Kandahar - but who's responsible?
A bomb attack in the Afghan city Kandahar killed 50 people late Tuesday. But who's responsible? And has it anything to do with the fact that Kandahar is the centre of Hamid Karzai's clan? Newsline presents an eyewitness report.
Dutch animal crossing largest of its kind in the world
An 'ecoduct' in the Dutch city of Hilversum is the longest nature crossing in the world. It is almost one kilometre long, spanning a busy road, a railway terminal, a golf course and an industrial zone. However, animals and humans are not deterred by this and make heavy use of the nature bridge.
