The concert is part of the RCO’s longstanding series with adventurous music that is renowned among the world’s top orchestras. It is the vintage A series, A standing for adventurous. Today we’ll witness the Dutch première of a Pocket size piano concerto by George Benjamin, a first performance by the orchestra of a similar piece by Olivier Messiaen, Benjamin’s former teacher.
