Rape endemic in South Africa
New research reveals that 28 percent of men in South Africa have admitted to raping a woman or girl. The study carried out by the country's Medical Research Council highlights the widespread nature of sexual violence in South Africa and anti-rape campaigners say it's time to challenge the African idea of manhood.
Iranians in the Netherlands protest
Iranians in The Netherlands are outraged as they watch events unfold in their homeland. They fear for their relatives still in Iran and for days they have been protesting outside the Iranian embassy in The Hague, singing, waving flags and chanting "Where's my vote?".
Social supervision for paedophiles
It's notoriously difficult for sex offenders to re-integrate into the community after serving a prison sentence, and many re-offend. New methods of intensive social control are being tried in Britain - and with success. And now the Dutch authorities are planning to introduce the "paedo-buddy" system later this year.
