On the last edition of South Asia Wired in 2011, we look back on a few stories that have made the headlines in the South Asian region in the past twelve months: Anna Hazare's fast against corruption, Osama Bin Laden's death and India's historic win over Sri Lanka in the ICC World Cup Cricket final.
Listen to this week's South Asia Wired here (or click here):
You can relive those moments on this week's South Asia Wired in sound, but there are many more stories that kept us occupied in 2011. The aftermath of the Sri Lanka-Tamil war which is still affecting the people and the country, for instance.
Or the sad story of Shirin Juwaley, the young woman who sufferend an acid attack years ago and who was denied to give a speech at a girls' school in August.
We had stories about the displaced - the Rohingya for example - but also on the plight of transgender people in India. The developments in Burma which seem to offer a ray of hope in a very dark history.
We don't know yet what 2012 will bring. But we'll be there to report on it. Thanks for listening and for visiting our web pages in 2011 and we'll see you back again in 2012!
