2010 - introduction
In 2010, we first asked you to suggest songs, then we put together the line up (2 songs per country). Later you were all invited to vote for the 17 (18 at the start) songs in July and August. The national jury votes were posted here in September.
Below, you'll find the final scoreboard first, then external links to the video/audio files for the 17 songs, then the 12 versions of the scoreboard that were published throughout September, then some notes on the contest.

Voting is closed, but from 1 July to 31 August 2010 people were invited to cast their votes for 10 of the 17 songs chosen by our pals on Facebook.
People were invited to vote as a representative of their native country, or the one in which they now live.
Visit our page on Facebook.com for full details of the competition. There was a main prize for the person who suggested the winning song, and also prizes for the person(s) whose votes most accurately reflected the final outcome.
Updates after 1 July:
16 July: SONG L withdrawn (song more than 2 years old)
19 July: alternative link for SONG H added.
31 July: alternative link for SONG F added.
31 August: Voting ended at 00.00 CET
2 September: Scoreboard corrected, Greece gave 2 points to New Zealand (H), not 1 to Netherlands
(E) and 1 to New Zealand (Q).
*****************************************************************************
Voting and points:
A total of 12 countries - including the 9 participants - awarded points in the contest.
Each country awarded 10 sets of points: 20-18-16-14-12-10-8-6-4-2 based on the totals awarded by the member or members of the national jury for that country.
A draw was held on 1 September to decide the voting order of the countries.
Procedure when votes tied:
In the event of two or more songs obtaining equal votes from members of a national jury, the song with the biggest single vote from one member will take priority over the other (e.g. 4+4 will score lower than 8+0 or 6+2).
If the members' votes are exactly the same (eg 4 votes for song X and 4 votes for song Y) both songs will score the same points - hence 20 and 18 points would become 2 x 19 points, with the next song obtaining 16 points. In this way the grand total number of points awarded by all juries will be constant.

Tim,
I can't seem to get the voting form to materialize. I wanted to vote for "G". Do the remainder of may votes need to be distributed equally one vote per song in descending order or may I use all votes for "G"?
Thanks,
Mike
Mike, send an email to eurohit40@rnw.nl
put WPC in the subject line.
Vote as follows:
1st 10 points
2nd 9 points
3rd 8 points....
down to
10th 1 point
So, in the end, you'll have voted for 10 of the 17 songs.
Don't forget to say which country you are voting FROM... you may NOT vote for any song from that country.
Best wishes, Tim
