Newsline 10 August 2009: A string of bombings in Baghdad and Mosul have raised concerns about a return to sectarian violence; the crew of an Italian boat held by Somali pirates is released after 4 months, and in the latest of our summer hotspots series, we work out with youngsters on the beaches of Senegal's capital Dakar.
Listen to today's edition of Newsline:
Bombings target Shi'ites:
Bombs in Shi'ite Muslim areas in Baghdad and northern Iraq killed at least 39 people this morning, just days after 37 were killed outside a Shi'ite mosque in Mosul. They're the latest in a wave of attacks since US combat troops withdrew from Iraq's cities and have raised doubts about the readiness of Iraq's security services - as well as fears of a resurgence in sectarian violence between Sunnis and Shi'ites.

Pirates release Italian crew:
As Somali pirates release the crew of an Italian tugboat hijacked four months ago, we hear from a Dutchman who spent two months negotiating the release of another hijacked ship earlier this year.
Listen to an interview with pirate negotiator Hans Slaman.
Hotspot Dakar:
