US President Barack Obama has shared out his million-euro Nobel Peace Prize among ten different charities. He announced last year he would be donating the prize to charity.

The largest share of over 180,000 euros will go to a foundation which houses the families of wounded war veterans while they receive treatment. The Haiti fund set up by former presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush will receive nearly 150,000 euros. Other beneficiaries include funds that promote education for members of minority groups.
