A growing number of Dutch tourists are visiting the Carribean island of Curaçao despite the economic crisis.
The first four months of 2009 showed a 12 percent increase compared to the same period last year. A total of 44,000 Dutch holidaymakers visited the Antillean island, which forms part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The Curaçao tourist office says the global crisis has not had a serious impact on tourism from other countries. In the first four months of this year, that figure was only three percent lower than in early 2008.
