Dutch servicemen have been involved in fighting with Norwegians outside a bar in the port of Bergen in western Norway. One of the Norwegians was badly hurt and had to be hospitalised.
It’s not known what caused the fight. A police spokesman said the Dutchmen are believed to be sailors from a naval vessel in Tollbodkaien, a harbour to the north of Bergen.
This is not the first time Dutch servicemen have been involved in violence in Norway. In 2006 there was a fight involving Dutch military personnel in a disco in the north of Norway. The case did not go to court because the witness statements were too contradictory.
