At least 20 workers at an electricity power station in Balco Nagar in central India have been killed after a chimney under construction collapsed. Indian police say about 50 people are trapped under the rubble.

The chimney was designed to be 275 metres high and the first 100 metres had been built. About 100 people were at work on its construction when it gave way in heavy rainfall during a thunderstorm.
