Radio Netherlands Worldwide provides news, information and culture via radio, television and the internet to millions of people throughout the world. We do this from a Dutch-European perspective, in ten languages.

RNW’s mission is:

“To make a contribution in the name of and on behalf of the Netherlands to a better-informed world by a combination of independent journalism and services.”

RNW’s aims are:

• The provision of independent information to countries with an information deficit.
• The dissemination of a realistic image of the Netherlands abroad.
• Informing Dutch speakers abroad.

RNW fulfils these aims with a wide range of services in Dutch, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic, Chinese, Indonesian, Papiamento and Sarnami. Here RNW takes into account the different information needs of the various target groups and RNW adapts its service to the media situation in various regions.

Radio Nederland Training Centre (RNTC) is attached to RNW. RNTC is a centre of excellence in media, development and education. It provides training courses for individuals and organisations and develops projects with partner organisations in developing countries and countries in transition.
