Wow! What a lovely concept-running with your dog.....But, my experience is different. I once took my huge German Shepherd for an evening walk, thinking that it will be good for both. All was well until a hawker crossed the road with his wares perched on his head. The dog took an instant disliking for him and growled menacingly. Sensing trouble, I asked the hawker to stay away or change his path. The poor man got scared, dropped his basket and ran for his life. The dog barked and chased him with full fervour. I clutched his leash strongly, as I yelled -STOP, at the dog and the man. But, both kept running. I fell down and the dog dragged me on the pebbled road for few feet. I was pretty injured and shaken by the experience. So, the dog-walkers need to be stronger than the dogs themselves..;)...
