Euro Hit 40 - Europe's No. 1 chart show
This new strategy is the approach which should have been taken at the begining of NATO's operations against the Taliban. Too many of the allies thought that security could be bought or negociated for and insisted on caveats. The only problem arising from this strategy will be what happens after NATO forces leave Afghanistan. Should the Taliban regroup and wreak havoc and fear on the civilian population, will the Western trained Afghan forces be enough to quell them? As for those who remember WWII in the Netherlands, there are plenty besides Geert and his organized mob. Geert memory serves him only when a buck or a euro comes his way to play contemporary politics. The people of the Netherlands have shown their gratitude for liberation in may ways at personal and public expense since 1945. The annual tulip festival in Ottawa, and the volunteers who maintain allied soldiers gravesites are very strrong cases in point. Sorry, Hiram, there is plenty more to this than the propaganistic rehtoric that Geert's group spout off. David Berridge.
