Your praise is appreciated, I do not wish to rehash the 2000 election any more than any of us wish to hear about 'hanging chads". That said...let us remember it was a rather sorry show all around, from start to finish.
On the other hand, the thought of Gore as President makes me want to reach for a bottle of Pepto Bismol.
The only possible bright side is that he might likely have BORED the entire world into complacency. One hour of Gore speech is the surest cure for insomnia I have ever encountered.
The downside of course is that Bush Jr. was, is and shall forever be a moron, ( or as close to one as the White House has gotten in the last 100 years ( exceptions noted for some of the 'gems" this nation elected in the 19th century ( particularly in the 1820's thru the 1840's and after the Civil War )
