The rich countries are now bullying Iceland, a country which did nothing wrong except follow German and British economic advice for the past 10 years which led to all of this. Germany, the UK, and the Netherlands are sickeningly greedy countries to go after the people of Iceland for the debts of private companies. Privatize the gains, nationalize the risk - that's the message from the economic right that governs the economic system of the EU, especially the UK, the Netherlands, and Germany. It's YOU whose bankers and politicians pushed Iceland into adopting your horrible bank regulations, and it should be YOU who deals with your losses. Not the Icelandic public. You want a privatized and "free" economy in the EU? Then take your losses privatized as well. Take your losses like a grown up.
