I could not agree more with what Harry de Haan writes. Before Internet, I grew up with RNW short wave broadcasts - Harry's citing of the selling of short wave equipment is sad news indeed. BTW, in the USA, the Public Broadcasting Service and National Public Radio are facing similar budgetary cuts and to counter that NPR especially is becoming more like Fox News opinionators. These cuts are threats by the newly elected teapartier right wing Republic congress members, but no doubt Democrats will cave in, too, the wimps!
