Hi Roberto,
Conny does indeed say India in the interview, but she actually means Indonesia it is a slip of the tongue.
The leaves originally came from Bolivia and were cultivated in botanical gardens in the Netherlands before being shipped to the Indonesian island of Java where they were grown en masse and shipped back to Amsterdam for production in the factory. At the time Indonesia was a Dutch colony.
