The purpose of coffeeshops is to protect experimenting youngsters from drugs like heroin and all that. Somehow I just cant imagine Dutch people tolerating the return of young junkies on the street, So the politicians have no chance of unzipping coffeeshops because closing them is tolerance of heroin and junkies. If you want to see what no coffeeshops looks like come to Australia, look around Kings Cross or Saint Kilda - thousands and thousands of junkies! Look before you leap. Max Harmreduction
