Geert Wilders, leader of the anti-Islam Freedom Party, is currently working on a book about the history of Islam. Press agency Novum has announced that the book will be launched in the US in late April 2012 and then published in other countries.
The work will examine the “true nature of Islam” and the worldwide battle against Islamisation. The populist politician claims Islam is not a religion, but an ideology:
“An ideology of hatred, of destruction, of conquest. It is my strong conviction that Islam is a threat to Western values, to freedom of speech, to the equality of men and women, of heterosexuals and homosexuals, of believers and unbelievers.”
The book on Islam will be Mr Wilders’ second major publication. In 2005, he wrote a short autobiography, entitled Kies voor vrijheid (Choose Freedom).

To all of you!
Islam is the best religion and it will be and we will spread it all over the world Inshallah. You are all going to pay a high price for your ignorance and all what you are trying to do. Muslims fucked you and will fuck more of you Inshallah.
It is my hope that many, many people in the America read his book. The more they are informed the more things will change for the better- better for us, and not Islamists. Ignorance is a huge killer - it will ruin even the best governments and politicians and their policies. If people can't tell the truth from the lies or what they imagine, society will crumble and fall prey to those who would love to destroy, or dominate us. Education is the key to our defense; we must LEARN. And one place to at least start is by reading Wilder's book . Why not give it a try ? Here's a ripe apple--full of nutriants - hanging low for you to pluck and EAT. You would be doing yourself a favor and have nothing to lose if you hear what he's got to say . Because I want to resist the advancement of Islamic influence so much and don't have much power to do much more than talk about it, I am trying to help by doing just that- talking. That's my dream - to see the free world listen and believe brave voices like Geert Wilders and help him in his struggle to see truth prevail . Keep the free world free. What really give me a stomach ache is those nitwits who are confused enough to actually make excuses for the trouble, pain, conflict, and lack of humanity that Islam brings. To them I say STOP crying about Muslims getting their feelings hurt and quit worrying about Islam getting "missunderstood " and thereby treated disrespectfully. Quit trying to be a little hero for Islam , and realize it is so bad it has actually victimized it's own followers. Want to see the world change for the better ? Then tell Islam to change for the better. Americans should give Wilders book a chance. Americans who already have a grudge against him so won't consider even trying to give it a try are doing nothing but make matters worse. I say LEARN , then form an opinion. Ignorance kills .
"I have no tolerance for religions of conquest either. But there's no indication that Islam is taking over Europe. Statistics show the opposite. Western Muslims are abandoning the mosque faster than those from other religions."...Awesome, you sure know how to make someone laugh with your dribble. "Western Muslims are abandoning the mosque faster than those from other religions." Is that why they are filling the streets and sidewalks for prayers? There are so many of them that Mosques can't contain them. As to your religious quote from Luke, it was referring to Saul and it took place about 4,000 years ago. It was a specific incident and not a jidahist message for people of today. Even Hitler, Stalin and many others have demanded their enemies brought before them in order to slaughter them. Awesome, Christians, Hindus, and the many other religions are not on a holy war. You must wear blinders on all day and all night because you surely can't see the 'clear and present" danger being acted out by those on a holy war on Western values and cultures.
First, for anyone yammering about the sins of the western religions ; don't waste your time. The other religions of the world, no matter how ugly they may have been in the past, are changed for the better today. But Islam hasn't. Trying to prove a point by comparing the sins of religions in the past to the sins of Islam today is a foolish and worthless idea. Islam is a 7th century Albatross around the neck of humanity, and sociieties that invite them and treat them as any other immigrant are asking to urinate in their own drinking water. Let those immigrants live up to OUR expectations or set them sailing back to their joyless life of human retardation. That's simple arithmetic and the way Wilders handles things. Those who like him know he's no such thing as a bigot and he talks like a realist- no matter how some don't like it. Those who hate him never really took time to understand him--they don't like his hair or so style or some other nonsense like that. I don't feel right about his being denonized because it's like trying to kill a person with lies, and he doesn't deserve that after all that struggle to uphold freedom and expose Islam. Any Dutch here ? My advise is : what good does it do you to denounce Wilders, a person who's trying to help Holland, and welcome Islamists who do you about as much good as the flu ( or paying for the welfare of exploiters _ ? Of course these people are not all bad, but demographically speaking Holland is asking to be smothered by those who whant religion to dominate again. Somebody has to fight this--and Geert Wilders is at least trying . I'm glad he's writing a book.
@Awesome Ted, You obviously haven't learned anything! Christianity is based on respect, love and peace. Check the history of the crusades, and the facts are that Christians actually had those, because Jerusalem and parts of Europe were invaded by Muslims, who had the audacity then, to kill hundreds of thousands of Christians and non believers, in a "convert or die" attack on peaceful nations, in an attempt at trying to take over the world! Check the history of this if you dare! The Muslim's did these acts of cruelty starting about 700ad after Muhummad's death, and the Christian faith did not enter into the Crusade era, till approx. 1180! That's 400 years that it took peaceful Christians to actually get involved, purely to stop Islamisation. As for brutality, it is written historical fact that there were some bloodthirsty individual groups that went along with the crusades for thier own agenda's, and that is what you are referring to in your comments! Christian's will not enforce thier religion onto anyone, it is a choice, unlike that which Islam is trying to enforce onto the world once again. Yes it is a choice to submit to Islam at the moment, until the majority becomes Muslim, then it is enforced upon people. Even today, in some Muslim countries, if you don't turn your back on Christianity and denounce your faith to submit to Allah, you will be sentenced to death, another fact! So who is being persecuted Just like before the crusades? Christians are, don't believe it? LOOK IT UP! IF YOU DARE!! The quran actually states: 'Take NO friends from thier number' so if you think being leftist and being an ally to muslim's will last, you better think again, once they win, they WILL turn on thier leftist allies, and attack them too. Submit or die! Sort of opens your eyes a little, doesn't it? Geert IS correct, like it or not.
@Luke John. I have no tolerance for religions of conquest either. But there's no indication that Islam is taking over Europe. Statistics show the opposite. Western Muslims are abandoning the mosque faster than those from other religions. http://www.cbs.nl/en-GB/menu/themas/vrije-tijd-cultuur/publicaties/artik... These numbers indicate that people who identify themselves as Muslim will soon be the least religious group in the Netherlands.
Interesting that you use vile bits from the Quran to vilify a whole people. The bible has more than its share of foulness: "But as for these enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and slaughter them in my presence." (Luke 19:27 NRS) Should we feel as frightened about Christianity?
Re Luke 19:27
Had you read from Luke 19:12, you would have known that this quote was not about Jesus himself or his kingship. It is the end of a parable about a man of noble birth who went on a long journey abroad returned after being appointed king. It can’t be construed as an urge to violence by believers (which is why it isn’t), unlike these examples of 109 explicit calls to violence in the Quran:
Quran (4:104) - "And be not weak hearted in pursuit of the enemy; if you suffer pain, then surely they (too) suffer pain as you suffer pain..." Is pursuing an injured and retreating enemy really an act of self-defense?
Quran (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement"
Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" No reasonable person would interpret this to mean a spiritual struggle.
Quran (8:65) - "O Prophet, exhort the believers to fight..."
*
Not surprising from a “prophet” who personally beheaded 750 people and was responsible for the violent, cruel deaths of countless others.
In contrast, the Christian prophet has just a few minor nasty incidents to his name (chasing money mart out of the temple with a whip, cursing a fig tree and putting a hex on a few pigs) and Buddha doesn’t even have a temper tantrum attributed to him.
Thank you knirb! You saved me the trouble of actually having to post and explain more historical contexts to someone who isn't prepared to actually read, learn, and more importantly, UNDERSTAND! One thing that the quran does NOT do, is explain things in a historical context, like the Bible does, if you read it correctly. And yes, even Buddhists are persecuted for being peaceful and misunderstood, Cheers!
Geert will simply preach to the converted again with his new tomb, again making a global profit. What is there to worry about? He can do as he pleases, which contradicts his own arguments about free speech in the Netherlands.
David, I glad to see you have come out to play. Be nice to Geert. I know you really like him and wish to be like him. There is nothing to worry about!
People are still totally at a loss when it comes to Islam. They see well behaved moderate Muslims and say: "nothing wrong with those people, we only need to worry about the extreme ones", but it is the propagation of Islam as a whole which is mostly done by these well-behaved moderate Muslims that the more fanatical ones will be able to push for and eventually implement their extreme agendas. Remember, there is only one Islam and its values are diametrically opposed to those of the free West.
Turkey, hailed as a democratic country with an almost exclusive Muslim population will eternally (or as long as Islam exists) be at risk of digressing into a more fundamental Islamic state, which will most likely be the fate of all the countries of the Arab spring.
Islam is not a force I would like see in my country, no matter how benign all of its followers might seem.
His book won't be very successful. My guess is he's trying to cater to the anti-Islam people over here. Problem is once bin Laden was killed a lot of anger and hostility subsided. If it was a high ranking American official publishing this book it would get more attention. The average American doesn't care about anything in Holland anyway.
Can somebody please name me a western religion that's not based on hatred, destruction, or conquest? Wilders' premise is almost entirely based on ignorance of the facts, a condition his supporters embrace. If he were playing fair, he'd now turn his attention in other directions. Instead of continuing to focus on Dutch muslims, he'd write about the rise of militant right wing extremism, something which actually poses a threat to Europe.
The religion that is not based on hatred, destruction, or conquest is Christianity.
Read the words of Jesus Christ in the New Testament.
"Wilders' premise is almost entirely based on ignorance of the facts...." Wilders stated: "It is my strong conviction that Islam is a threat to Western values, to freedom of speech, to the equality of men and women, of heterosexuals and homosexuals, of believers and unbelievers." Response: Have you ever lived in an Islamic country or even read the teachings of the Quran? You don't even have to go to an Islamic country or read the Quran. All you have to do is visit the UK or France and watch how women are forced to wear burqas and abayas. Go to France and the UK and see how Muslims stop the traffic on the streets and sidewalks in order to pray. Try standing-up for your rights to use the streets and sidewalks and watch how violent they get with you. Just because something was "based" on hatred, destruction, or conquest, doesn't mean people like Wilder's and his right-wing minions should not stand-up to a religion that cares nothing about Western values. It is left-wing tolerance like yours that will eventually cause more women to get abused by a religion that does not consider women as equals. Wilders stance is correct. Your views and those like you are a threat to free society. You know nothing about Islam and your premise is entirely based on ignorance of the lack of facts. If you will take the time and study the Quran and Sharia law, you might learn something about hatred, destruction, and conquest.
And right on cue, here's our resident right winger now.
Intolerance is the enemy, regardless of its source. Denying a religious group the right to prayer is what triggered your reported sidewalk blocking. Tell me that you wouldn't feel differently if they had been christians holding a vigil. Forcing women to wear certain clothing is something I oppose too. But banning these items is an affront to basic freedoms. Same with denying groups religious freedom. The increasingly secular muslim population is not a threat to Europe. That's becoming clearer every day. The increasing militance of the racists and xenophobes is where the danger lies. As soon as people start regarding each other as human beings and not as soulless enemies, all these imagined problems will disappear.
"Denying a religious group the right to prayer is what triggered your reported sidewalk blocking."...No, my friend, you are wrong. Those Muslims who pray on the streets and sidewalks have places to pray. They can go to their homesand mosques to pray; but, they are not satisfified with those places. In a free society one can pray where one wants; but, those prayers should not hinder the freedoms of others who don't believe likewise. Those Muslims who block the sidewalks and roads by praying are violating the freedom of movement of others. Now, you ask the question: "Tell me that you wouldn't feel differently if they had been christians holding a vigil." My response is: If those Christians are blocking the roads and sidewalks, then they should be ask to move (the same with Muslims)to another area that does not impede the traffic on the roads or sidewalks. Failure to move by Muslim or Christian should be enforced by the police. How would you feel if Muslim or Christian were kneeling and praying and blocking your freedom of movement? No, they have a place to pray and that leads to your next statement: "The increasingly secular muslim population is not a threat to Europe." Muslims in France are 20 to 25 percent of France's populations. They pray in the roads and streets because they feel comfortable with the strength of their population of Muslims. As more Muslims enter into France and Europe, you will see more resistence to western values and laws. Awesome, you stated "secular muslim". There are no "secular muslims", my friend. If you are a Muslim, you are not "secular". One can say he or she is Muslim and really be secular; but, if one is really a Muslim, you can bet he or she is not secular.
It was a ban on public prayer which was being demonstrated against. Plenty of christian vigils are held which snarl traffic and take up space. I don't hear you moaning about them. You write that Muslims are 20 to 25% of France's population? Where you you find these numbers? (It's actually between 5 and 10%.) Do you simply multiply 200 to 500% to numbers you look up? Or are are you simply unable to use the internet to check facts?
Also, you'd better look up 'secular society' and report back.
"There are no "secular muslims", my friend. If you are a Muslim, you are not "secular". One can say he or she is Muslim and really be secular; but, if one is really a Muslim, you can bet he or she is not secular."...Did you read it again? Look-up the definition of "secular."
I did. And it means someone who doesn't allow religion to have an overbearing influence on their lives. See secular christians, secular jews, secular buddhists etc. Have you ever looked up something on the interwebs?
You might have looked it up in one of your comic books but here is the definition: "not pertaining to or connected with religion" What is it you don't understand about "not" pertaining to religion or "not" connected to religion. Put the comic book down and read something else.
that's sounds good. we need a lot of people who brave to speak the truth: islam is not a religion. million or even billion of people suffer because of islam. it is not worthed to be called as a religion.
God bless you and protect you always, Mr. Wilders . You are a brave , strong and patriotic person and wish America can find a person like you in our conservative party who can stand up and fight for us against the invasion of of this barbaric culture meant to destroy and dominate the world.
That book ? It's a reality and not just a broken promise ? Hurray and hallelujah! I can't wait. Maybe people will quit calling him a "farrightislamophobebigotracistfascistnazi- jerk after they read him. He needs a little milk of human kindness by now.
