Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders denies reports that he had admitted his criticism of Queen Beatrix earlier this month was 'unwise'.
He also denied that fellow MPs had criticised the tweet in which he questioned the Queen’s wearing a headscarf during a visit to the Great Mosque in Abu Dhabi which formed part of her state visit to the emirate. Mr Wilders also tweeted he would ask questions in parliament.
“During the meeting of the parliamentary party, nobody criticised the questions in parliament. The word unwise was never used. Pure rabble-rousing,” Mr Wilders said on Wednesday. He was reacting to a report from national public broadcaster NOS which stated Mr Wilders had admitted his criticism of the queen was ill-advised.
