In an interview broadcast on Australian television on Sunday, far-right Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders has called the Islamic culture “retarded”.
“Our culture, which is based on Christianity, Judaism and humanism is better than the retarded Islamic culture,” says Mr Wilders. He also pointed out that Islam cannot be compared with Christianity. “It is a violent ideology, like communism and fascism.”
In response, Mr Wilders says the interview was recorded six weeks ago, when preliminary talks were being held between left-wing parties and the conservative VVD, to form a so-called purple-plus coalition.
Now he is participating in the negotiations for the formation of a minority government with the conservative VVD and Christian Democrats supported by his party.

Mr Wilders is always discredited in the media by having the slur "far-right" attached to his name. There is never any explanation or justification given for describing him so and from what I have learned of his political views it seems a wholly unfair and inaccurate ad hominem. having strong views on the very real threat of militant Islam does not make somebody a fascist or extremist. I consider Mr Wilders to be a rarity amongst present day European politicians, a brave and honourable man.

I totally agree with Mr. Wilders, because in total of 1600 years, we have seen nothing from Islam, except killings, blood, destruction, call for killing of "indfidels" and polygamy, let alone calling of the killing of all non-muslims. However, the Herald Sun journo Andrew Bolt did an exhaustive investigation into these claims of “racist attacks” and found that the vast majority were committed by recently arrived Muslims! In Harris Park, a Sydney suburb where some of the worst attacks happened, the perps were all Lebanese Muslim youths. ALL! In Melbourne, 5 attacks caught the headlines; 4 were committed by Sudanese youths and the other by Somalis. 3 attacks, the most famous where a man was allegedly doused with petrol and set on fire, were actually self-inflicted attacks done for insurance scamming reasons! An Indian man has been jailed for 13 years for the brutal rape of a young university student in Melbourne. Harjot Hundal Singh dragged the woman into his van, tied her hands and told her to stop shouting or he would kill her.

Many classical and pagan manuscripts i.e The Hermetica and Orphic Hymns were actually preserved by the Orthodox monks of the Eastern Roman Empire (The Byzantine Empire) in areas that were not yet subjugated by the Ottoman Empire. Many of these manuscripts inspired the European Renaissance after first arriving at Florentine Cosimo de Medici's court via the geographiical region of Byzantine Macedonia, an area which remained under the spell of amalgamated Greco-Roman (Byzantine) thought.

In one of his speeches he called Muhammad a mass murderer and a pedophile. If someone called a political leader this it would start a war. He is referring to a revered religious leader in this way. Its a good thing no muslims have access to nuclear bombs, or that they do not know how to terrorize the civilians of a country that opposes islam.
The sad thing is that human beings never learn. Laws, bans, codes of behaviour are fine and it is a country's right to create them, but this overblown rhetoric is to make Geert more poular politically, and gives comfort to racists around the world.
