Wilders aide suspended over burqa “scum”

Published on 16 July 2011 - 5:04pm
More about:

Geert Wilders’ anti-Islam Freedom Party has suspended a parliamentary aide for describing a number of women dressed in burqas as “scum” in a clip he posted on the internet.

Sam van Rooy taped the women in a shopping centre in Scheveningen, near The Hague, and posted the video on YouTube. The footage has since been removed.

“This clip goes much too far”, a PVV spokeswoman said. “It is regrettable that these women wear a burqa and we would like to see a ban on burqas, but these women are not scum. We deeply regret this incident.”

Gary Rumain,

The burqa wearer may indeed be a "sharmuta" but he (yes, he) could just as easily be a "sharmut".

Meet the Burqa Dudes

Osita,

No country has any business allowing immigrants in to displace its native population. This is tantamount to treason.

Though I stand with the PVV, I do not believe that they should have suspended this aide for simply being honest.

For instance, if rioters and other lawbreakers (Islamic or otherwise) want to be referred to in polite language, how about if they stop behaving in a subhuman manner? Same goes for people who go outside with bags over their heads, or who pressurize others to do that. Normal people in the non-Muslim world sleep on their bed linens - they never dress up in them!

Wearing the burqa in a non-Muslim country or territory has nothing to do with modesty, which is all about avoiding undue attention. Instead, it's all about CONFRONTATION. Until it's too late, you never know who (man, woman, criminal, terrorist) or what (BOMBS) is under those sheets. The burqa is an unacceptable security risk. That is why I am in favor of banning the burqa.

I believe the correct term he should have used is "sharmuta".

Why punish him? He's obviously indoctrinated well into this party and lives by its doctrine. The 'freedom (for those who are like us only) party' will need people like him to do the deed when they reach power and round up all those of a religion they aren't keen on ready for 'removal'.

The PVV; proof that you can't polish a turd.
