Van Nistelrooy slays Ajax, and Robben is back

In their first practice game of 2011, Amsterdam’s Ajax football club has been beaten 2-4 by Hamburger SV playing at home in Germany. The Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy scored three times for the German club. Luis Suarez got both goals for Ajax.

Robben back
Meanwhile, Arjen Robben has returned to the pitch for his first game since playing for the Dutch national squad in the World Cup final in Johannesburg last summer. He played for 45 minutes for Bayern Munich in a practice game against Al-Wakrah in Doha. The German side won 4-0.
