Dutch darts player Raymond van Barneveld was thrashed by his Scottish rival Gary Anderson in the quarter finals of the PDC world championships in London. The Dutchman won the first set, but quickly ran out of steam : 5-1 (1-3 3-1 3-0 3-1 3-2 3-1).
Last year, Van Barneveld made it to the semi-finals, but lost to Australian Simon Whitlock and eventually ended up in fourth place after also losing the so-called consolation final.
Earlier on Saturday, the other Dutch darts player in the tournament Vincent van der Voort lost his quarter final game.
