The Ukrainian high court on Tuesday postponed until June 26 hearing the appeal of former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko against her seven year jail term on abuse of power charges.

The Kiev court, Ukraine's highest judicial instance, took the decision following a motion brought by prosecutors but vehemently contested by the defence who warned against dragging out the process, an AFP correspondent said.
