Dutch football star Robin van Persie scored the best goal for his British club Arsenal in 2011. An overwhelming majority of the fans from the top London club voted his goal against Everton in a game earlier this month into the top slot.
The virtuoso left-foot kick won nearly 60 percent of the online votes for best goal. Second place went to an effort of Andrei Arshavin, just ahead of another Van Persie goal - scored in the Champions League match against Barcelona FC – which came in third.
And Van Persie scored again today in Arsenal’s game against QPR. This brings his tally for Arsenal to a record breaking 35 goals this calendar year.
