A suspect was in custody in Ohio Monday after a shooting at a high school, police said.
A report in the Cleveland Plain Dealer said four students, three boys and one girl, were injured at Chardon High School in northeast Ohio when a shooter when opened fire in a crowded cafeteria.
WKBN television in nearby Youngstown said three of the victims were in critical condition, and quoted a school official as saying the suspect is a current student and acted alone.
The Geauga County Sheriff's office said a suspect was being held after the shooting in the city of Chardon but provided no additional details.
"There was a shooting. They have the suspect in custody," a sheriff's spokeswoman said.
Television images showed the school on lockdown with armed security forces on site, and parents were seen gathering on the school grounds.
