      Shell accused of funding armed groups in Nigeria

      Anglo-Dutch oil giant Shell has been accused of funding armed groups in Nigeria.

      The NGO Platform published a report on Monday which claims Shell has been paying government troops. The armed groups have allegedly attacked, tortured and killed Nigerian civilians in the Niger Delta region.

      Shell rejects all the accusations.
