In the Dutch premier league, sc Heerenveen beat Roda JC 4-3 in a home game on a freezing Friday evening in subzero temperatures.
Bas Dost scored the first and last goals (1-0 and 4-3) for Heerenveen. Daryl Janmaat and substitute Gerald Sibon netted the second and third, securing a victory for the Frisians.
In the fourth official game of 2012, Syrian striker Sanharib Malki scored twice (1-1 and 2-2) for Roda JC. After half time, Davy De Beule put the Limburg club in the lead (2-3), but Roda had to concede to the Frisians in a well-balanced match.
