Arantxa Rus will be the only Dutch tennis player to play on the opening day of Wimbledon on Monday.
She will play Japanese Misaki Doi in the second match on Court 17. Her compatriots Kiki Bertens and Robin Haase are scheduled to play later during the London tournament.
Serbian titleholder Novak Djokovic will open the tournament on Centre Court. The world’s number one will play Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero. Next on the roster is Russian player Maria Sharapova, the winner of Roland Garros and leader of the global ranking. She will play Australian Anastasia Rodionova.
The Swiss Roger Federer, who won numerous victories at Wimbledon, will play Spaniard Albert Ramos in the second match on No.1 Court.
