Huna Amsterdam, Radio Netherlands Worldwide's Arabic department, and Amsterdam's Free University have launched an online election compass for Egypt's presidential election.

The election compass is an independent site that uses a series of questions to help voters clarify their views on Egypt's complex political landscape. This is Egypt's first presidential election in the wake of the 2011 revolution and only the second in Egypt's history with more than one candidate. Twenty-three people have officially registered to contest the election, which will be held on 23 and 24 May.

The election compass is online at www.bosala.org as of today. This is the second time that the Egyptian electorate will be able to use the election compass. It was a great success in the run-up to last year's parliamentary elections.

The election compass is not affiliated with any party, candidate or government. The online questionnaire has been designed to be completely neutral and transparent.

The election compass, originally created for Dutch elections, is now being used in more than 40 countries including Turkey, Canada, Sweden, Tunisia and Morocco.
