China's Ding Junhui defeated Stephen Lee 5-4 on Friday to reach the Welsh Open semi-finals, but only after his English opponent was put off by a mobile phone which rang in the crowd.

Lee passed up a glorious chance to win as he looked to clear up the colours before he missed the green when the phone went off.

That let Ding back in to win and go onto a last-four clash against Shaun Murphy.

In the other semi-final, Ronnie O'Sullivan will face Mark Selby after he defeated Judd Trump 5-3.
