The Dutch queen was welcomed by Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, the heir apparent, when she arrived at Luxembourg’s Findel Airport on Tuesday morning.
This is the queen’s second state visit to the grand duchy. She immediately left for the palace where Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Teresa awaited their Dutch visitor.
When she first visited Luxembourg in March 1981, the queen was accompanied by her late husband, Prince Claus. She has now paid a total of 52 state visits.
